Beebe AC (ARK) Emergency Boarding

Organized by Collaborative Participant in rural Arkansas based, assistive, dog rescue efforts

Massive Overcrowding @ Beebe AC (ARK) - October 26
Hi all:
At this time, there are 22 dogs & puppies at Beebe AC - a rural, municipal shelter located north of Little Rock, Arkansas in a landfill setting. Only a handful of these dogs have acquired rescue and out of those, only one acquired an immediate departure date over the past weekend. The shelter is now beyond capacity and populated, primarily, by large dogs trotting throughout the communal shelter yards. This is a dangerous situation for ALL. Immediate evacuation of the majority of dogs and transport to several temp boarding options MUST BE implemented STARTING MONDAY, 26 OCTOBER 2009 or the postponed euth appointment for dogs with rescue will go back in to effect TODAY. ACO has been in phone contact with me multiple times per day EACH day since Thursday. Something has GOT to GIVE NOW! This is an outdoor, landfill shelter with two communal yards and a separate, broken down holding pen for pups or special case dogs --all in a rough and tumble environment replete with Western Rattlesnakes, periodic break-ins & vandalism and additional perils. I DESPERATELY NEED YOUR DONATION HELP to remove as many dogs as possible to bring the shelter population back under control. Without the assistance, I cannot fix this situation for any of the dogs - with or without pending rescue.
